Ο Ιερός Ναός της Κυράς των Αγγέλων βρίσκεται στη γραφική γειτονιά της Τενέδου, επί της οδού Σχολεμβούργου 29 στην περιοχή του Νέου Φρουρίου. Είναι μονόκλιτη βασιλική που οικοδομήθηκε το 1673. Αρχικά, η Κυρά των Αγγέλων ήταν μια ιδιωτική εκκλησία, η οποία ανήκε στην οικογένεια Αμοργού και αργότερα στην οικογένεια Ρουβά. Ο ναός ανακαινίστηκε στα τέλη του 18ου αιώνα. Διασχίζοντας την αψιδωτή, λιθόκτιστη είσοδο και εισερχόμενος στον περίβολο αντικρίζει κανείς έναν λιτό, ορθογώνιο ναό με δίρριχτη κεραμοσκεπή. Επάνω από την κεντρική θύρα βρίσκεται ένα ημικυκλικό παράθυρο ενώ το κωδωνοστάσιο εφάπτεται του ναού. Στο δάπεδο του ναού υπάρχουν ταφόπλακες. Η εκκλησία πανηγυρίζει κάθε χρόνο στις 8 Σεπτεμβρίου εορτάζοντας τη Γέννηση της Υπεραγίας Θεοτόκου. (EL)
The Church of our Lady of the Angels is located in the picturesque neighbourhood of Tenedos, on 29 Scholerburg Street in the area of the New Fortress. It is a single-aisled basilica built in 1673. Originally, our Lady of the Angels was a private church, which belonged to the Amorgos family and later to the Rouvas family. The church was renovated in the late 18th century. Crossing the arched, stone-built entrance and entering the churchyard, one can see a simple, rectangular church with a pitched roof. Above the main door there is a semicircular window while the bell tower is adjacent to the church. Tombstones cover some parts of the church’s floor. The church celebrates every year on 8 September, on the feast day of the Nativity of Theotokos. (EN)
