Μέσα σε ένα καταπράσινο λιβάδι, ο Α. Μακρής, εικονίζει μια μαυροφορεμένη γυναικεία φιγούρα, που έχει βγει για να βοσκήσει τα πρόβατά της. Η σύνθεση καλύπτεται στο κάτω μέρος με σκούρο πράσινο χρώμα, μαζί με κάποιες πινελιές από καφέ, ενώ στο πάνω μέρος, το πράσινο γίνεται πιο ανοιχτό και διαφανές, με μικρά σημεία από γαλάζιο, που υποδηλώνουν τον ουρανό.
