Ο Διεθνής Κώδικας Σημάτων αποτελεί ένα σύστημα κωδικοποιημένης οπτικής επικοινωνίας με χρήση σημαιών. Αφορά κυρίως στις θαλάσσιες επικοινωνίες και επιτρέπει τη συνομιλία των πλοίων. Αποτελείται από τα γράμματα του αλφαβήτου και αριθμών σε συνδυασμό με το σχεδιασμό, τα χρώματα και το σχήμα των σημαιών.

The International Code of Signals is an encoded optical communication system using flags. It is mainly for maritime communications and allows communication between ships. It consists of the letters of the alphabet and numbers in combination with the design, the colors and shape of flags.
