Προς τα βόρεια της Αθήνας το Μεταξουργείο αποτελεί ακόμα μία σχετικά έρημη και ανεκμετάλλευτη περιοχή. Το μεγάλο κτίριο είναι το υπό ανέγερσιν εμπορικό κέντρο, που οραματίστηκε ο Γ. Καντακουζηνός, η οικία του οποίου βρίσκεται στο διπλανό οικόπεδο. Ο Ελαιώνας στην πεδιάδα και στο βάθος η Πάρνηθα. (EL)
