Rethymno lighthouse

Φωτοβολία 6 μίλια και εστιακό ύψος 15 μέτρα. Πύργος σε σχήμα μιναρέ, ύψους 12 μέτρων, χωρίς κατοικία φαροφυλάκων καθώς ο φάρος βρισκόταν πλησίον κατοικημένης περιοχής. Βρίσκεται 25 μέτρα μέσα από την κεφαλή του κυματοθραύστη και δεξιά εισπλέοντας στο παλιό ενετικό λιμάνι του Ρεθύμνου. Κατασκευάστηκε από τη Γαλλική Εταιρεία Οθωμανικών Φάρων για λογαριασμό της Οθωμανικής Αυτοκρατορίας. Στο Ελληνικό Φαρικό Δίκτυο ενσωματώθηκε μετά την ένωση της Κρήτης με την Ελλάδα το 1913. Το φωτιστικό του φάρου το 1941 καταστράφηκε από τους Γερμανούς και επαναλειτούργησε το 1945.

Beam 6 miles and focal height 15 meters. Minaret-shaped tower, 12 meters high, without a lighthouse keeper's residence as the lighthouse was located near a residential area. It is located 25 meters inside the head of the breakwater and on the right entering the old Venetian harbor of Rethymno. It was built by the French Company of Ottoman Lighthouses on behalf of the Ottoman Empire. It was incorporated into the Greek Lighthouse Network after the union of Crete with Greece in 1913. The lighthouse's light was destroyed by the Germans in 1941 and reactivated in 1945.
