Φάρος Φονιάς (ή Φονηάς) Λαυρεωτικής

Beam 6 miles and focal height 12 meters. Cylindrical iron tower 9 meters high at a distance of 60 meters from the lighthouse keeper's residence. It is located on the homonymous cape SE of Lavreotiki, north of Sounio. In 1941 it was destroyed by the Germans and reopened in 1948. The building was gradually abandoned and today only a few ruins survive. The role played by the lighthouse is now covered by a metal lantern that was placed a few meters further away.
Φωτοβολία 6 μίλια και εστιακό ύψος 12 μέτρα. Πύργος κυλινδρικός σιδερένιος ύψους 9 μέτρων σε απόσταση 60 μέτρων από την κατοικία των φαροφυλάκων. Βρίσκεται στο ομώνυμο ακρωτήριο ΝΑ της Λαυρεωτικής, βορεία του Σουνίου. Το 1941 καταστράφηκε από τους Γερμανούς και επαναλειτούργησε το 1948. Η κτιριακή εγκατάσταση σταδιακά εγκαταλείφθηκε και σήμερα σώζονται μόνο μερικά ερείπια. Τον ρόλο που επιτελούσε ο φάρος καλύπτει πλέον ένας μεταλλικός φανός που τοποθετήθηκε λίγα μέτρα μακρύτερα.
