WOMEN’S TIED HEADBAND OF THE TRADITIONAL COSTUME OF CORFU (EN)

Γυναικείος κεφαλόδεσμος παραδοσιακής φορεσιάς Κέρκυρας. Αποτελείται από τέσσερα μεγάλα μπουμπάρια από μαύρο σατέν (μεζούλια) που ενώνονται και δίνουν κυκλικό σχήμα. Πάνω στα μπουμπάρια δένουν κόκκινες μεταξωτές κορδέλες, οι σταφτάδες. Στο κέντρο των μεζουλίων στερεώνεται λευκή μαντήλα με δαντέλα. Στο πρόσθιο μέρος των μεζουλίων στερεώνονται άνθη. (EL)
Women’s headband of the traditional costume of Corfu. It consists of four large braids made of black satin (mezulia) that are joined together and create a circular shape. Red silk ribbons, the staftades, are tied on the braids. A white headscarf with lace is secured in the middle of the mezulia. The front of the mezulia have flowers attached to them. (EN)
