Description

Ποδιά παραδοσιακής γυναικείας φορεσιάς από τους Μεταξάδες της Θράκης. Το ύφασμα είναι μαύρο με ενυφασμένο στιγμωτό διάκοσμο σε κίτρινο και καφέ χρώμα. Στο κάτω μέρος φέρει επίρραπτες υφασμάτινες λωρίδες, σε μπλε, πράσινο και καφέ χρώμα και μία με φυτικά μοτίβα σε κόκκινο και πράσινο χρώμα, καθώς και κεντητή κίτρινη τεθλασμένη ρίγα. Ανάμεσα στις κορδέλες έχουν προστεθεί δαντέλες σε λευκό και κίτρινο χρώμα. Περιμετρικά, στις τρεις πλευρές, έχει ραφτεί λευκή διακοσμητική δαντέλα. Στο πάνω μέρος φέρει δύο κορδόνια, σε άσπρο, κόκκινο και μπλε χρώμα, για να δένεται γύρω από τη μέση. (EL)

Apron of the women’s traditional costume of Metaxades, Thrace. The fabric is black and has woven yellow and brown speckled decoration. The bottom is embellished with appliqued fabric strips in blue, green and brown and one with red and green vegetal motifs, and also an embroidered yellow broken stripe. White and yellow lace has been added between the ribbons. White decorative lace is sewn around three sides. Two laces in white, red and blue colours have been added to the top, so the apron can be tied around the waist. (EN)
