WOMEN’S APRON OF THE TRADITIONAL COSTUME OF METAXADES, THRACE (EN)

Ποδιά παραδοσιακής γυναικείας φορεσιάς από τους Μεταξάδες της Θράκης. Το ύφασμα είναι μαύρο με ενυφασμένο στιγμωτό διάκοσμο σε κίτρινο και καφέ χρώμα. Στο κάτω μέρος φέρει επίρραπτες υφασμάτινες λωρίδες σε πράσινο και κόκκινο χρώμα. Περιμετρικά, στις τρεις πλευρές, και ανάμεσα στις χρωματιστές κορδέλες, έχει ραφτεί λευκή διακοσμητική δαντέλα. Στο πάνω μέρος φέρει δύο κορδόνια, σε άσπρο, κόκκινο και μπλε χρώμα, για να δένεται γύρω από τη μέση. (EL)
Apron of the women’s traditional costume of Metaxades, Thrace. The fabric is black and has woven yellow and brown speckled decoration. The bottom is embellished with appliqued green and red fabric strips. White decorative lace is sewn around three sides and between the colourful ribbons. Two laces in white, red and blue colours have been added to the top, so the apron can be tied around the waist. (EN)
