WOMEN’S APRON OF THE TRADITIONAL COSTUME OF METAXADES, THRACE (EN)

Ποδιά παραδοσιακής γυναικείας φορεσιάς από τους Μεταξάδες της Θράκης. Στο κάτω μέρος του κόκκινου υφάσματος έχουν προσραφθεί υφασμάτινες λωρίδες σε πράσινο και κόκκινο χρώμα, καθώς και μία μπεζ δαντέλα. Στις τρεις πλευρές φέρει επίρραπτη λευκή διακοσμητική δαντέλα. Στο πάνω μέρος έχει γαζωθεί κορδέλα από το ίδιο ύφασμα με την ποδιά, από την οποία ξεπροβάλλουν δύο κορδόνια σε κόκκινο χρώμα, για να δένεται γύρω από τη μέση. (EL)
Apron of the women’s traditional costume of Metaxades, Thrace. Green and red fabric strips, as well as beige lace, have been sewn at the bottom of the red fabric. On three sides, the apron is embellished with appliqued white decorative lace. A ribbon made of the same fabric as the apron has been stitched at the top, with two red laces emerging from it, so it can be tied around the waist. (EN)
