Description

Λευκός βαμβακερός επενδύτης (σαγιάς) παραδοσιακής γυναικείας φορεσιάς από την Αλεξάνδρεια (Ρουμλούκι) Ημαθίας. Η λαιμόκοψη είναι κυκλική και βαθιά, μέχρι το στέρνο, όπου δένει με λευκή κορδέλα. Τα δύο μπροστινά φύλλα, οι ποδιές, διπλώνουν και στερεώνονται στο πίσω μέρος, στο ύψος της μέσης. Φέρουν επίρραπτο κεντημένο ημικυκλικό διάκοσμο, τα δάχτλα, σε κόκκινο, ροζ, πράσινο και κίτρινο χρώμα. (EL)

White cotton overcoat (sayias) of the women’s traditional costume from Alexandreia (Roumlouki), Imathia. The neckline is round and deep, reaching down to the sternum, where it is tied with a white ribbon. The two front panels are folded and secured on the back of the waist. They are embellished with an appliqued embroidered pattern of semi-circles, called dachtla, in red, pink, green and yellow. (EN)
