Η λάμα του ξίφους είναι σχεδόν ευθεία, επινικελλωμένη και καταλήγει σε αιχμή. Στις δύο όψεις της φέρει ελαφρώς έκτυπη διακόσμηση πλοχμών, οι οποίοι διακόπτονται από την ημισέλινο και το αστέρι. Κατά μήκος των δύο πλευρών τη διατρέχει αβαθής κοίλη γραμμή επί της οποίας αναπτύσσονται οι πλοχμοί. Στο σημείο της λαβής με καλλιτεχνική γραφή είναι χαραγμένες οι προτάσεις: «Εκ της μάχης γεφύρας Καρασμάκη ως Αρχηγός Προσκόπων» και «20η Οκτωβρίου 1912 Β. Σταυρόπουλος». Η λαβή του ξίφους είναι από λουστραρισμένο ξύλο και φέρει προφυλακτήρα, ο οποίος στο επάνω μέρος εφάπτεται αυτής και απολήγει σε λεοντοκεφαλή.

The blade of the sword is almost straight, nickel-plated and ends in a point. On both sides, it bears a lightly embossed spiral decoration, which are interrupted by the crescent and the star. Along the two sides runs a shallow concave line on which the spirals are developed. At the point of the grip in cursive script, are engraved the sentences: “From the battle of the Karasmaki bridge as Chief of Scouts", and “20 October 1912 V. Stavropoulos”. The grip of the sword is made of varnished wood and has a guard, which abuts it at the upper part and ends in a lion’s head.
