Στη φωτογραφία απεικονίζεται η Πλατεία 17ης Αυγούστου (Οσίας Ξένης), σπαρμένη με πτώματα, μετά τον εν ψυχρώ πολυβολισμό επί του συγκεντρωμένου πλήθους που συμετείχε στο σαρανταήμερο μνημόσυνο των εκτελεσμένων του Μπλόκου. Οι Ναζί έστησαν ένα πολυβολείο στον λόφο του Βώκου και έστρεψαν τα πολυβόλα τους στον λαό την ώρα που μνημόνευε τους νεκρούς του, με αποτέλεσμα η Κοκκινιά να θρηνήσει και άλλα θύματα. Στο λεύκωμα του Δήμου Νίκαιας Το Μπλόκο της Κοικκινιάς - Χρονικό Μνήμης (2004), αναφέρονται τα ονόματα δεκαπέντε εκτελεσμένων του Μνημόσυνου και εκτίθενται φωτογραφίες τους. - Η φωτογραφία τραβήχτηκε την ημέρα του Μνημοσύνου, στις 24/09/1944

Photographic document of the Memorial Service of the Blockade, on September 24, 1944, by Michalis Nikolinakos. The photo depicts the 17th of August Square (Saint Xeni), strewn with corpses, after the cold-blooded gunfire on the gathered crowd that participated in the forty-day memorial service of those executed by the Blockade. The Nazis set up a machine gun on Vokos Hill and pointed their machine guns at the people while commemorating their dead, causing Kokkinia to mourn other victims. In the album of the Municipality of Nikaia The Blockade of Koikinia - Chronicle of Remembrance (2004), the names of fifteen executed members of the Memorial Service are mentioned and their photographs are exhibited. - The photo was taken on the day of the Memorial Service, 24/09/1944
