Ο όρμος της Βοϊδοκοιλιάς έχει πάρει το όνομά του από το κλειστό, σχεδόν κυκλικό σχήμα του. Βρίσκεται στα νότια του κόλπου του Ρωμανού και στα βόρεια του Ναυαρίνου και διακρίνεται από την εκτεταμένη ζώνη αμμοθινών. Αποτελεί σημείο μεγάλης αρχαιολογικής και φυσικής σημασίας καθώς και πλαζ κολύμβησης με διεθνή φήμη.

Voidokoilia creek was named after its closed, almost round shape, which looks like the belly of an ox. It is situated to the south of the Romanos bay and to the north of Navarino; its special feature is the extensive dunes' zone that surrounds it. It is a site of archaeological and natural importance as well as a world-famous beach.
