Ο Έμμετ Μπέννετ είχε αναλάβει το καθήκον να επεξεργαστεί τις πινακίδες της Πύλου. Όταν οι ανασκαφές ξεκίνησαν και πάλι το 1952, ο Μπέννετ άρχισε να δουλεύει συστηματικά για μια έκδοσή τους. Στην επιστολή αναγράφονται οι ενέργειες στις οποίες προέβη για τη συστηματική καταλογογράφησή τους.

Emmett Bennett had undertaken the duty of processing the Pylos tablets. When the excavations started again in 1952, Bennett started working systematically towards the publication of the tablets discovered that year. In this letter are described the action he took for their listing.
