Επιστολή του Καρλ Μπλέγκεν προς τον Σπ. Μαρινάτο, σταλμένη από τη Χώρα Τριφυλία, σε απάντηση της επιστολής του τελευταίου με ημερομηνία 16 Ιουνίου 1962. Ο Μπλέγκεν ευχαριστεί τον Μαρινάτο για την τιμητική αναγόρευσή του σε επίτιμο διδάκτορα της Φιλοσοφικής Αθηνών και του εκφράζει την επθυμία του να επισκεφθεί μαζί του τις ανασκαφές του Μαρινάτου στη Μεσσηνία.
