Στο οικόπεδο Βοριά στα Βολιμίδια ανακαλύφθηκαν από τον Σπ. Μαρινάτο κατάλοιπα μικρού υπόκαυστου από λουτρό ρωμαϊκής περιόδου, το οποίο στον 4ο αι.μ.Χ. είχε χρησιμοποιηθεί για χριστιανικές ταφές, γεγονός που οδήγησε και στη μερική καταστροφή του. Κατά τις ανασκαφές μέσα στο στρώμα των υπολειμμάτων της καύσης βρέθηκαν κομμάτια αρχαιολογικού γυαλιού, γεγονός που οδήγησε στο συμπέρασμα ότι το λουτρό, τμήμα του οποίου ήταν το υπόκαυστο, φωτιζόταν φυσικά μέσα από υαλοστάσια. In the Vorias plot of land at Volimidia Sp. Marinatos discovered the remains of a small hypocaust of a complex of Roman baths, which in the 4th century A.D. had been used for Christian burials, a fact which led to its partial destruction. During the excavations within the layer containing the remains of incineration for producing heat were discovered fragments of archaeological glass, a fact which led to the conclusion that the bath was illuminated naturally through glass panes all around.
