Το Υδραγωγείο της Πύλου κτίστηκε τον 16ο αιώνα για να εξυπηρετήσει τις ανάγκες ύδρευσης στο Νιόκαστρο. Μετέφερε νερό από τις θέσεις Παλιό Νερό και Κουμπέ (κοντά στο Χανδρινό), διακλαδιζόμενο σε δύο. Πρόκειται για ένα από τα σημαντικότερα δημόσια έργα της οθωμανικής διοίκησης στη Μεσσηνία. Για χρόνια είχε μείνει παραμελημένο, όπως φαίνεται από τη φωτογραφία του 1968.

The Aqueduct of Pylos was built in the 16th century in order to provide Niokastro with fresh water. It carried water from the sites Palio Nero and Kubbe (close to Handrinos), forming two branches. It is one of the most important publi works of the Ottoman government in Messenia. For years it was neglected, as is evident from the picture, dating in 1968.
