Ρυτό με περίτεχνη γραπτή διακόσμηση. Το οξυπύθμενο κωνικό σώμα τονίζει τον κατακόρυφο άξονα, ενώ βαίνει σε έξεργο χείλος που στρέφεται προς τα έξω. Φέρει ταινιωτή κάθετη λαβή που εκφύεται λίγο πιο κάτω από το χείλος. Η λαβή, μία φαρδιά ζώνη στο ύψος του χείλους και άλλη μία στο τελείωμα του ρυτού είναι ολόβαφα. Στο υπόλοιπο σώμα σε υπόλευκο βάθος εφαρμόζεται με κοκκινωπή βαφή πλούσιος φυτικός διάκοσμος που απαρτίζεται από φοινικόδεντρα και βλαστούς. Τα ρυτά είναι τελετουργικού χαρακτήρα αγγεία που χρησιμοποιούνταν είτε για «να σπένδουν» προς τιμήν των θεών επικυρώνοντας την επικοινωνία με το θείο ή να προσφέρουν χοές προς τιμήν των νεκρών. (EL)
Rhyton with an elaborate painted decoration. The body is horned,conical, long and opens up to an outward turning rim. It bears a vertical handle which starts slightly below the rim. The rim, the handle and the bottom of the cone are painted with red pigment. The same pigment is used for the painted decoration consisting of palm trees and twigs. This kind of vessel was used for rituals, namely for libations, either in honour of the gods or in honour of the deceased. (EN)
