Η σύνθεση διακρίνεται για τη σκουρόχρωμη παλέτα, η οποία κινείται σε τόνους του μαύρου, με τα πρόσωπα και τα χέρια των μορφών να αποδίδονται με φωτεινά μπεζ. Ο Αριστοτέλης Σολούνιας (1939-2009) σπούδασε στο College of Art του Πανεπιστημίου Cornell, στις Η.Π.Α.. Έκτοτε καταπιάστηκε με τη ζωγραφική, τη γλυπτική, τη σκηνογραφία και την αρχιτεκτονική. Το ύφος του κινείται μεταξύ παραστατικότητας και αφαίρεσης σε ένα προσωπικό εξπρεσιονιστικό-κυβιστικό λεξιλόγιο."
