Στα έργα του o Velizar Krstić δημιουργεί έναν ιδιόμορφο κόσμο στον οποίο προσπαθεί με ιδέες και γλώσσα εικαστική να επεξηγήσει τη σύγχρονη πραγματικότητα μέσα από συμβολικές παραστάσεις και δυνατούς ρυθμούς. Η ανθρώπινη μορφή αποτελεί πρωταρχικό δεδομένο πάνω στην οποία οικοδομεί κατά κανόνα τη δομή του έργου.
Στη χαρακτική σύνθεση «Θύμα Ι» η ανθρώπινη μορφή τοποθετημένη σε διαγώνιο άξονα καταλαμβάνει το μεγαλύτερο μέρος της επιφάνειας του έργου. Η μαύρη ανδρική φιγούρα, υπερμεγέθης, πάνω στο λευκό χαρτί με τα χέρια σχεδόν σταυρωμένα στο ύψος της κοιλιάς, μαρτυρά την βιαιότητα μιας πράξης θανάτου και αποτυπώνει τα βιώματα του καλλιτέχνη από την περίοδο του πολέμου στη Γιουγκοσλαβία.

In his artworks, Velizar Krstić creates a distinctive world in which he tries to explain contemporary reality with ideas and visual language through symbolic representations and strong rhythms. The human form is a primary element upon which he typically constructs the structure of his work.
In the engraving "Victim I," the human figure, placed on a diagonal axis, occupies most of the surface of the artwork. The oversized black male figure, against the white paper, with hands almost crossed at the abdomen level, bears witness to the violence of a death act and captures the artist's experiences during the period of the war in Yugoslavia.
