Το έργο του Arnulf Rainer “Palais de Tuilleries” αποτελεί χαρακτηριστικό δείγμα της δουλειάς του καλλιτέχνη, ο οποίος επεμβαίνει πάνω σε ήδη υπάρχοντα έργα, συνήθως φωτογραφίες και τα επικαλύπτει με χρώμα, με εγχαράξεις, τα οποία επιτρέπουν να διαφανεί ο χειρονομιακός χαρακτήρας της επέμβασής του. Στόχος του είναι η εξαφάνιση της έκφρασης, η μόνιμη κάλυψη, η στοχαστική ηρεμία.

Arnulf Rainer's work "Palais de Tuilleries" is a typical example of the artist's work, who intervenes on existing works, usually photographs, and overlays them with paint, with engravings, which allow the gestural character of his intervention to be seen. His aim is the disappearance of expression, the permanent covering, the contemplative calm.
