Το έργο της Αγγελικής Στάμου αποτελεί μια αλληγορική σύνθεση πολλαπλών ερμηνειών. Από τη μια η καθολική χρήση του ροζ χρώματος, το οποίο εμπερικλείει μια παιγνιώδη διάθεση και από την άλλη η δεσπόζουσα πόζα του νεαρού αγοριού στο πλάι της πολυθρόνας σαν να πρόκειται για πορτραίτο μεγάλου άνδρα που δηλώνει, όπως μαρτυρά ο τίτλος της σύνθεσης: “We should defend our island”.

The work of Aggeliki Stamou is an allegorical synthesis of multiple interpretations. On the one hand, the universal use of the colour pink, which encapsulates a playful mood, and on the other hand, the dominant pose of the young boy on the side of the armchair, as if it were a portrait of a grown man who declares, as the title of the composition indicates, "We should defend our island".
