Η καλή κατάσταση του άνω μέρους του λίθου, μας διασώζει καθαρά τους ιππείς (24 & 25), που φορούν χλαμύδα, προφανώς πάνω από τον χιτώνα τους και εμβάδες. Όπως υπάρχει απόσταση μεταξύ της πρώτης και της δεύτερης ομάδας των ιππέων, έτσι και εδώ η απόσταση που παρατηρείται ανάμεσα στον ιππέα (25) και τον (26) στον επόμενο λίθο X υποδηλώνει ότι ο τελευταίος ανήκει σε διαφορετική ομάδα ιππέων, την πέμπτη. Εντύπωση προκαλούν οι συμπαγείς χαίτες των αλόγων, των οποίων οι τρίχες πρέπει να αποδίδονταν ζωγραφιστές. (EL)
The good condition of the upper part of the block has preserved riders (24 and 25) clearly. They are clad in chlamys, evidently over short chiton, and felt boots. Just as a space has been left between the first and second groups of horsemen, here too the space between riders (25) and (26) on the next block X shows that rider (26) belongs to the next group, the fifth. Notable is the rendering of the horses’ manes as a compact mass; details of the hair will have been painted. (EN)
