Σε αυτόν τον λίθο και στους δύο γειτονικούς (IX & X) εικονίζεται ανά ένα ζεύγος νεαρών ιππέων (16-21) οι οποίοι ιππεύουν άλογα που καλπάζουν. Παρόλο που το θέμα στους τρεις λίθους είναι ίδιο, παρουσιάζει ιδιαίτερο ενδιαφέρον η διαφοροποίηση της κίνησης των αλόγων, η στάση των ιππέων και η ποικιλία των ενδυμάτων. Στον λίθο XI ο ιππέας (21) έχει κοντά σγουρά μαλλιά και φοράει κοντό χιτώνα. Έχει σκυμμένο το κεφάλι με συγκεντρωμένη την προσοχή στα δυο του χέρια, με τα οποία κρατάει σφιχτά τα χαλινάρια του αλόγου του που καλπάζει. Δίπλα του, λίγο πιο αριστερά, το άλογο του ιππέα (20) εν μέρει καλύπτεται από το προηγούμενο άλογο. Δυστυχώς δεν σώζεται το πρόσωπό του ιππέα. Φοράει χλαμύδα, εμβάδες και αττικό κράνος με λοφίο που ανεμίζει προς τα πίσω και ιππεύει με το σώμα πιο στητό. Είναι από τους λίγους ιππείς, του οποίου εικονίζεται σε χαμηλό ανάγλυφο και το δεύτερο πόδι που κρέμεται πίσω από τη μη ορατή πλευρά του αλόγου. Διαφορετικές είναι και οι χαίτες των αλόγων. (EL)
Depicted on this block and on each of the next two (IX and X) are a pair of young horsemen (16-21) riding their steeds at a gallop. While the theme of the three blocks is the same, the difference in movement of the horses, the poses of the riders and the variety of their garments are of special interest. On block XI the horseman (21) has short curly hair and wears a short chiton. He bends his head concentrating on his hands with which he reins in tightly his prancing horse. Next to him, slightly to the left, the horse of rider (20) is partly hidden by the previous horse. The face of the horseman is unfortunately not preserved. He wears a chlamys, boots and Attic helmet with a crest that flows out behind. He rides his horse with body more erect than the others. He is one of the few horsemen whose other leg is shown in low relief hanging down behind the invisible side of the horse. The manes of the horses likewise are each different. (EN)
