Μαύρο αυτόματο επιτραπέζιο στρατιωτικό τηλέφωνο, σε χρήση από τη δεκαετία του 1940 από τις αμερικανικές ένοπλες δυνάμεις, γνωστό και ως "Toaster" ("τοστιέρα" λόγω του σχήματός του). Ακουστικό από βακελίτη και σπιράλ καλώδιο, περιστροφικός μεταλλικός επιλογέας και μεγάλο αναλογικά βάρος. Χρησιμοποιείτο ευρέως στον Αμερικανικό Στρατό κατά το Δεύτερο Παγκόσμιο Πόλεμο και την δεκαετία του 1950 σε σταθμούς βάσης τηλεπικοινωνιών ως αναπόσπαστο τμήμα δικτύου RADAR τύπου ΑΝ/GTA-6A. Παρείχε κυρίως ενδοεπικοινωνία ανάμεσα στο προσωπικό στους διαφόρους σταθμούς. Η κατασκευή της τηλεφωνικής συσκευής πραγματοποιείται και από άλλες εταιρείες, οι οποίες αναλάμβαναν παραγγελίες για τον αμερικανικό στρατό, όπως η Western Electric Co. Η συγκεκριμένη πιθανώς να είναι του 1936 (δυσδιάκριτη η σφραγίδα) και o περιστροφικός επιλογέας προέρχεται από τηλεφωνική συσκευή της Ericsson.

Black automatic military desk phone, in use since the 1940's from the American Armed Forces, also known as "toaster" due to its shape. Receiver made from Bakelite, with a spiral cord, metal rotary dial, and with relatively heavy weight. It was widely used by the American Army during WWII, and during the 1950's at telecommunication bases where it became an integral part of the type AN/GTA-6A radar network. Used mainly for internal communication amongst the personnel at different stations. This device was also manufactured by other companies like Western Electric Co. who received orders from the American Army. This particular device was made in 1936 (the stamp unclear) and the rotary dial was from an Ericsson phone device.
