Μαγνητική πυξίδα πλοίου με κυλινδρική βάση και κάλυμμα. Κατασκευάστηκε από AIRGUIDE CHICAGO στις ΗΠΑ. Συνοδεύεται από χάρτινο κουτί και οδηγίες χρήσης. Η πυξίδα είναι όργανο με το οποίο επιτυγχάνεται ο προσανατολισμός του χρήστη, δείχνοντάς του την κατεύθυνση του Βορρά. Ιδιαίτερα όμως στη ναυσιπλοΐα αποτελεί το σημαντικότερο "ναυτιλιακό βοήθημα" με το οποίο μετρούνται και πραγματοποιούνται τόσο οι πορείες των πλοίων όσο και οι διοπτεύσεις.

The compass is an instrument with which the orientation of the user is achieved, showing him the direction of the North. However, especially in navigation, it is the most important "nautical aid" with which both the courses of ships and the directions are measured and carried out.
