Apolytares lighthouse, Antikythera island

Beam 19 miles and focal height 45 meters. Round tower 13 meters high, connected to the lighthouse keeper's residence. It is located on the cape of the same name and 180 meters from the southern tip of Antikythera (arch. Aegilas). It was destroyed by the Germans in 1941 and reopened in 1945. The émigré former Russian Admiral Nikolaos Filosofov (1867–1946) served as lighthouse keeper at this lighthouse from 1926 to 1933, who in 1926 acquired Greek citizenship and was sworn in as a First Class Lighthouse Keeper.
Φωτοβολία 19 μίλια και εστιακό ύψος 45 μέτρα. Πύργος στρογγυλός ύψους 13 μέτρων συνεχόμενος με την κατοικία των φαροφυλάκων. Βρίσκεται στο ομώνυμο ακρωτήριο και 180 μέτρα από τη νότια άκρη των Αντικυθήρων (αρχ. Αίγιλα). Καταστράφηκε από τους Γερμανούς το 1941 και επαναλειτούργησε το 1945. Στον φάρο αυτό υπηρέτησε ως φαροφύλακας, από το 1926 -1933, ο εμιγκρές πρώην Ρώσος Ναύαρχος Νικόλαος Φιλοσοφώφ (1867–1946), ο οποίος το 1926 απέκτησε την Ελληνική Υπηκοότητα και ορκίστηκε Επιστάτης Φάρων Α΄ Τάξεως.
