Oxeia lighthouse
Οξυιά ή Οξειά Πατραϊκού

Beam 23 miles and focal height 71 meters. Cylindrical tower 8 meters high in the middle of the SE side of the lighthouse keeper's residence. It is located near the Aetolian coast on the southern tip of the homonymous islet (archaic Thoae or Epiae), in the Echinades group of islands and south of the mouth of the Acheloos. Two of the greatest naval battles in history took place on these islands, the Battle of Echinades in 1427 and the Battle of Lepanto or Nafpaktos in 1571. The lighthouse's light was destroyed by the Germans and was restored in 1945. Today the lighthouse is automatic with a beam of 17 miles.
Φωτοβολία 23 μίλια και εστιακό ύψος 71 μέτρα. Πύργος κυλινδρικός ύψους 8 μέτρων στη μέση της ΝΑ πλευράς της κατοικίας των φαροφυλάκων. Βρίσκεται κοντά στην Αιτωλική ακτή στη νότια άκρη της ομώνυμης νησίδας (αρχ. Θοαί ή Επειαί), στη συστάδα των Εχινάδων νήσων και νοτίως των εκβολών του Αχελώου. Στα νησιά αυτά έγιναν ιστορικά δυο από τις μεγαλύτερες ναυμαχίες, η ναυμαχία των Εχινάδων το 1427 και η ναυμαχία του Lepanto ή της Ναυπάκτου το 1571. Το φωτιστικό του φάρου καταστράφηκε από τους Γερμανούς και επαναλειτούργησε το 1945. Σήμερα ο φάρος είναι αυτόματος με φωτοβολία 17 μίλια.
