Lefkas fortress lighthouse

Beam 12 miles and focal height 17 meters. Square white tower, 6 meters high, above the guard's residence. It is built on the northern bastion of the old fortress of Lefkada, Santa Maura, at the end of the northern mouth of the canal towards the coast of Acarnania. A port lighthouse operated in a neighboring spot since 1825. It was destroyed by the Germans in 1941 and reopened in 1945.
Φωτοβολία 12 μίλια και εστιακό ύψος 17 μέτρα. Πύργος τετράγωνος λευκός, ύψους 6 μέτρων, επάνω στην κατοικία των φυλάκων. Είναι χτισμένος στον βόρειο προμαχώνα του παλαιού φρουρίου της Λευκάδας, Santa Maura, στο άκρο του βόρειου στομίου της διώρυγας προς την ακτή της Ακαρνανίας. Σε γειτονικό σημείο λειτουργούσε από το 1825 φανός λιμένα. Καταστράφηκε από τους Γερμανούς το 1941 και επαναλειτούργησε το 1945.
