WOODEN SPOON FROM CAPPADOCIA

Ξύλινο κουτάλι Καππαδοκίας. Στο κοίλο μέρος και τη λαβή φέρει ζωγραφικό ανθικό διάκοσμο σε κόκκινο, πράσινο και άσπρο χρώμα. Φυτικό σχέδιο σε πράσινο χρώμα υπάρχει και στο κυρτό μέρος. Στην άκρη της λαβής φέρει ετικέτα, όπου αναγράφεται "Mücella ile Okyay, Teşekkür Eder, 2 - 9 - 1984". Τέτοια ξύλινα κουτάλια, τα "ταχταδιώνας" (σανιδένια) χρησιμοποιούνταν, και χρησιμοποιούνται, ως κρουστά μουσικά όργανα σε αντικριστούς χορούς από την Καππαδοκία. Φτιάχνονταν στο Ικόνιο και την Σύλλη.

Wooden spoon from Cappadocia. The concave part and the handle feature painted floral decorations in red, green and white. The convex part also features a vegetal design in green. On the edge of the handle there is a label with the inscription: “Mücella ile Okyay, Teşekkür Eder, 2 - 9 - 1984”. These wooden spoons, the “tahtadionas”, were, and still are, used as percussion instruments in Antikristoi dances from Cappadocia. They were made in Konya and Sille.
