Κρητικό μαχαίρι. Το θηκάρι είναι μεταλλικό με ανάγλυφο φυτικό διάκοσμο στην επιφάνειά του. Στο μέσο περίπου φέρει επένδυση από σκούρο μπλε βελούδο με συρματερό άνθος. Στο πάνω μέρος έχει προσαρτηθεί μικρή αλυσίδα με πέντε φλουριά. Η λαβή είναι μεταλλική σε μορφή κάλυκα με ανάγλυφο φυτικό διάκοσμο. Ο προφυλακτήρας του χεριού απολήγει σε διακρυόσχημα στελέχη με εγχάρακτα διακοσμητικά μοτίβα. Τα μαχαίρια αποτελούσαν αναπόσπαστο κομμάτι της ανδρικής κρητικής φορεσιάς.

Cretan knife. The scabbard is made of metal and has raised vegetal decorations on its surface. Around the middle, it is lined with dark blue velvet and decorated with a filigree flower. The top has a small chain with five coins attached to it. The handle is made of metal and shaped like a calyx with raised vegetal decoration. The hand guard ends in two teardrop-shaped stems with engraved decorative motifs. Knives were an integral part of the Cretan costume of men.
