Κρητικό μαχαίρι. Το θηκάρι είναι επενδυμένο με μπλε βελούδο. Στα δύο άκρα και το μέσο φέρει μεταλλικά ελάσματα με ανάγλυφο φυτικό διάκοσμο. Περιμετρικά έχει προσαρτηθεί μεταλλικό περίγραμμα. Η λαβή του μαχαιριού είναι μεταλλική με ανάγλυφα φυτικά μοτίβα. Τα μαχαίρια αποτελούσαν αναπόσπαστο κομμάτι της ανδρικής κρητικής φορεσιάς.

Cretan knife. The scabbard is lined with blue velvet. On its two sides and in the middle, there are metal plates with raised vegetal decoration. A metallic border has been added around the perimeter. The knife’s handle is made of metal with raised vegetal motifs. Knives were an integral part of the Cretan costume of men.
