Η θήκη της ξιφολόγχης CHASSEPOT (με Αρ. τεκμηρίου 003/27.08.81/1012) είναι σιδερένια, βαμμένη μαύρη με μεταλλική βαφή, αιχμηρή και απολήγει σε σιδερένιο σφαιρίδιο με εγχάρακτες τις ενδείξεις 17 & 8. Προς την πλευρά του στομίου φέρει την ενσωματωμένη σιδηρά ταινία με διεμβολή αναρτήσεως και εγχάρακτη την ένδειξη «35540».

The CHASSEPOT bayonet scabbard (Exhibit No. 003/27.08.81/1012) is iron, painted black with metallic paint, pointy and ending in a iron ball engraved with the markings 17 & 8. Towards the side of the muzzle it has an integrated iron band with suspension spacer and engraved with the marking "35540".
