Το Ιατροσόφι του Μουσείου Ιατρικής Κρήτης (ΜΙΚ) ανάγεται στον 19ο αιώνα και διασώζει στοιχεία εμπειρικής ιατρικής – θεραπευτικής της Τουρκοκρατίας. Στο μεγαλύτερο μέρος του αποθησαυρίζει θεραπείες για νόσους όπως «ο πόνος της κοιλιάς», τα «κουκούδια της κεφαλής» και η «λαβωματιά». Ο ορισμός της εκάστοτε νόσου είναι περιγραφικός με βάση τη μακροσκοπική της εμφάνιση και τα προεξάρχοντα συμπτώματα της.

The Iatrosophion of the Museum of Medicine of Crete (MMC) dates back to the 19th century and preserves elements of empirical medicine and therapeutic practices from the period of Ottoman rule. For the most part, it contains treatments for diseases such as "abdominal pain," "head swellings," and "wounds." The definition of each disease is descriptive, based on its macroscopic appearance and its most prominent symptoms.
