Μικρό αλάβαστρο από μπλε γυαλί κατασκευασμένο με την τεχνική του Millefiori, με προσμίξεις δηλαδή άλλων χρωμάτων γυαλιού σε "φέτες", οι οποίες τοποθετούνταν έτσι ώστε να σχηματίζουν γραμμικά μοτίβα και έμπαιναν στο ίδιο καλούπι. Το συγκεκριμένο έχει μοτίβα στο σχήμα το "φτερού", σε υπόλευκο και κίτρινο χρώμα. Φέρει δύο μαστοειδείς αποφύσεις εν είδει λαβών. Τα αλάβαστρα χρησιμοποιούνταν κυρίως ως μυροδοχεία ή πάντως για την μεταφορά καλλυντικών υλών. (EL)
Little alabastrone made of blue glass with the Millefiori technique, i.e. with mixed slices of glass paste in other colours, placed in such a way as to created linear patterns and moulded together. This particular item bears patterns in a "feather" style, made of white and yellow glass paste. It bears two tiny "handles". Alabastrons were used mainly as perfume or cosmetics containers. (EN)
