Σημαντική ελληνιστική αγροικία εντοπίστηκε στην Π.Ο.Τ.Α. Ρωμανού το 2010. Είχε διαστάσεις 16 επί 15 μέτρα και ήταν κατασκευασμένη από αδρά υλικά. Τα διαμερίσματα αναπτύσσονταν γύρω από μια τετράγωνη κεντρική αυλή, διαστάσεων 6 επί 6. Η δυτική πτέρυγα ήταν μάλλον διώροφη και θα πρέπει να αποτελούσε την κατοικία των ιδιοκτητών, ενώ τα υπόλοιπα διαμερίσματα θα πρέπει να ήταν βοηθητικοί χώροι (αποθήκες, εργαστήρια κλπ). Το στρώμα στάχτης που κάλυπτε το δάπεδο μαρτυρεί ότι καταστράφηκε από πυρκαγιά, ίσως την ίδια που κατέστρεψε και τον παραποτάμιο αρχαϊκό ναό της “Ποτνίας Θηρών”.

An important Hellenistic rural house was located at P.O.T.A Romanou in 2010. It measured 16 x 15 meters and was made of stone and coarse material. The quarters were arranged around a square central coutyard, measuring 6x6 meters. The western wing was probably two storeyed and it must have constituted the living quarters of the proprietors.
The rest of the quarters must have been annexes of a practical character (workshops, storage rooms etc.). The layer of ash covering the floor attests to the fact that the house was destroyed by a fire, probably the same one as that which destroyed the archaic temple.
