Κοντά στο χωριό Κοπανάκι, στη θέση Στυλάρι, έχουν εντοπιστεί σημαντικές οχυρώσεις της κλασικής περιόδου αλλά και η μοναδική, ως τώρα, αγροικία αρχαϊκής περιόδου, στη Μεσσηνία. Η αγροικία περιλάμβανε ένα κεντρικό παραλληλόγραμμο κτίριο και αρκετούς βοθητικούς χώρους (αποθήκες και εργαστήρια)

Close to the village Kopanaki, at the site called Stylari, there are important fortifications of the classical period as well as the only existing Archaic rural estate of Messenia. The estate comprised a central building as well as annexes (warehouses and workshops).
