Η θέση Μούσγα της Κυπαρισσίας άρχισε να διερευνάται αρχαιολογικά ήδη από το 1911, χάρη σε ελεύθερα τμήματα κιόνων και άλλα αρχαιολογικά κατάλοιπα που βρίσκονταν μέσα σε νεότερες αγροικίες και κήπους. Προσδιορίστηκε οικισμός ρωμαϊκής-υστερορωμαϊκής περιόδου, με διάρκεια ζωής τουλάχιστον ως και τους μεσοβυζαντινούς χρόνους. Δυστυχώς μεγάλο μέρος των καταλοίπων καταστράφηκε εξαιτίας κατασκευαστικών έργων σε μεταγενέστερες εποχές, ειδικά στις δεκαετίες '60 και '70. (EL)
The site Mousga at Kyparissia was first investigated archaeologically in 1911, due to free-standing parts of columns and other archaeological remains discovered in modern rural estates and gardens. A settlement of the Roman-Late Roman period which lasted down to the Middle Byzantine period was located. Unfortunately a considerable part of the remains was destroyed due to later construction works, particularly in the '60s and '70s. (EN)
