Στην Αίθουσα του Θρόνου του κεντρικού κτιρίου του Ανακτόρου του Νέστορα σώζεται η μεγάλη κυκλική εστία. Η εστία ήταν πήλινη, με διάμετρο 4 μέτρα και 20 εκατοστά, και είναι η μεγαλύτερη που έχει ανακαλυφθεί σε μυκηναϊκό ανάκτορο. Η περίμετρός της διακοσμούνταν με σχηματοποιημένες φλόγες, μαύρες επάνω σε λευκό φόντο. Περιβαλλόταν από τέσσερις ξύλινους ραβδωτούς κίονες με 32 ραβδώσεις ο καθένας, που στήριζαν τη στέγη, όπου βρισκόταν μεγάλο άνοιγμα για το φωτισμό και τη διαφυγή του καπνού.

In the Throne Room of the central building of the Palace of Nestor is preserved the large round hearth. It was made of clay, with a diameter of 4 meters, 20 cm. high, and it is the largest one discovered in a Mycenaean palace. Its perimeter was decorated with stylized flames, black on a white background. It was surrounded by four wooden, fluted columns, bearing 32 flutes each; they supported the roof which had a large opening for lighting and outlet of smoke.
