Το “Κυκλώπειο Άνδηρο” , που αποκαλύφθηκε ήδη στις αρχές των ανασκαφών της Ίκλαινας, στήριζε μεγαροειδές οικοδόμημα, πιθανότατα διώροφο. Είχε μήκος 25 μέτρα και πλάτος 8 και ήταν κτισμένο κατά το κυκλώπειο σύστημα, δηλαδή με μεγάλους ογκόλιθους.
Αν και τμήμα του οικοδομήματος αυτού είχε καταστραφεί, οι ανασκαφές αποκάλυψαν το μεγαλύτερο μέρος του και καθόρισαν την αρχιτεκτονική μορφή του: επρόκειτο για ένα συγκρότημα με τρεις πτέρυγες, κτισμένο γύρω από μια κεντρική ορθογώνια αυλή. Τα κινητά ευρήματα μαρτυρούν ότι η τελευταία φάση του οικοδομήματος τοποθετείται στηνΥΕ ΙΙΙ Α2 περίοδο, δηλαδή όχι αργότερα από το 1330 π.Χ.

The “Cyclopean Terrace” which was discovered already at the beginning of the excavations at Iklaina, supported a megaron-type building, most probably two-storeyed. It was 25 meters long and 8 meters wide and it was built according to the cyclopean building system, with enormous stones.
Although parts of the building it supported had been ruined, the excavations discovered its largest part and defined its architectural form: it was a complex with three wings, built around a central courtyad. The movable finds reveal that the latest phase of the building should be place in the Late Helladic IIIA2 period, i.e. not later than 1330 B.C.
