Κατάλοιπα οχυρώσεων της κλασικής Πύλου στους πρόποδες του ακρωτηρίου Κορυφάσιο. Η κλασική Πύλος οχυρώθηκε κατ' αρχήν από τους Αθηναίους την περίοδο της μάχης της Σφακτηρίας, στην ουσία όμως τόσο ο οικισμός όσο και οι οχυρώσεις αναπτύχθηκαν κυρίως μετά τη μάχη των Λεύκτρων το 371 π.Χ. (EL)
Remains of fortifications of classical Pylos at the foothill of cape Koryphasion. Classical Pylos was fortified initially by the Athenians after the battle of Sphakteria; howeve, the settlement and fortifications were fully developed only after the battle at Leuktra in 371 B.C. (EN)
