Ο λόφος της Περιστεριάς βρίσκεται κοντά στο χωριό Μύρο. Η Περιστεριά ήταν ένα από τα εννέα σημαντικά κέντρα του βασιλείου του Νέστορα. Κατά τις ανασκαφές των περιόδων 1962-66 και 1974-75 αποκαλύφθηκαν τόσο ταφικά όσο και οικιστικού χαρακτήρα κτίσματα που χρονολογούνται από τη Μεσοελλαδική εποχή έως και το τέλος της Υστεροελλαδικής ΙΙΙ Β περιόδου. Επαναχρησιμοποιήθηκε για λίγο και στη ρωμαϊκή εποχή. Σημαντικότατα ευρήματα περιείχαν οι τρεις χρυσοφόροι θολωτοί τάφοι, εκ των οποίων ο Ι αναστηλώθηκε. (EL)
The tomb of Peristeria is situated close to the village Myro. Peristeria was one of the nine imprtant centres of the kingdom of Nestor. During the excavations of the periods 1962-66 and 1974-75 there were discovered buildings of funerary use as well as parts of a settlement, dated from the Middle Helladic to the Late Helladic IIIB period. It was re-used for a while during the Roman period. The three “gold-bearing” tholos tombs, particularly number III, contained important finds; tholos tomb I was restored. (EN)
