Ο όρμος της Βοϊδοκοιλιάς, η οποία αποκαλείται στον Όμηρο Βουφράς ή Βοός Νάπα, έχει πάρει το όνομά του από το κλειστό, σχεδόν κυκλικό σχήμα του. Βρίσκεται στα νότια του κόλπου του Ρωμανού και στα βόρεια του Ναυαρίνου και διακρίνεται από την εκτεταμένη ζώνη αμμοθινών, όπως φαίνεται και στην αεροφωτογραφία.

The Voidokoilia bay, called also in Homer Voufras or Voos Napa, was named after its closed, almost round shape. It is situated to the south of the Romanos bay and to the north of Navarino; its special feature is the extensive dunes' zone that surrounds it, as one sees clearly in the aerial photograph.
