Eine Kopie des von Basile Bouchon erfundenen Webstuhls ist Teil der ständigen Sammlung des Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers. Basile Bouchon begann zwischen 1725 und 1728 mit der Automatisierung des Webens. 1725 passte Basile Bouchon, der Sohn eines Orgelbauers, das Konzept der Musikautomaten an, die von Zylindern mit Pflöcken gesteuert wurden, an die sich wiederholende Aufgabe des Webens. Er erfand einen Webstuhl, der durch perforiertes Papierband gesteuert wurde. Bouchons Erfindung war die erste industrielle Anwendung der halbautomatischen Maschine. A copy of the loom invented by Basile Bouchon is part of the permanent collection of Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers. Basile Bouchon began the automation of weaving during 1725 - 1728. In 1725, Basile Bouchon, the son of an organ maker, adapted the concept of musical automata controlled by pegged cylinders to the repetitive task of weaving. He invented a loom that was controlled by perforated paper tape. Bouchon's invention was the first industrial application of the semi-automated machine. The images show a copy of this loom as shown in the permanent collection of the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers. (EN)
