Η "Μελέτη για την Καθιστή μορφή" ανήκει στα έργα της κυβοφουτουριστικής περιόδου της Popona, η οποία αντιπροσωπεύεται με πληθώρα έργων. Η καλλιτέχνιδα αναπτύσσει τη μορφή στο χώρο και προσπαθεί από τις πρώτες τις μελέτες να αντιμετωπίσει την απόδοση του όγκου στο δισδιάστατο επίπεδο της ζωγραφικής επιφάνειας. Αναλύει το μοτίβο σε αφηρημένες γεωμετρικές φόρμες με επικρατέστερες τις καμπυλοειδείς και τις ορθογώνιες, προσπαθώντας να ομογενοποιήσει τον χώρο με σκιαγραφήσεις και πιο φωτεινά σημεία τα οποία δομούνται με φωτοσκιάσεις μέσω γεωμετρικών σχημάτων.

The "Study for the Sitting Figure" belongs to the artworks of the Cubo-Futurist period of Popova, in which she is represented with a plethora of artworks. The artist expands the form in space and from her early studies, she attempts to address the representation of volume on the two-dimensional plane of the painting surface. She analyses the motif in abstract geometric forms, with curvilinear and rectangular forms predominating, trying to homogenise the space with shading and brighter points which are structured by light shading through geometric shapes.
