Κατά τα μέσα της δεκαετίας του ’80 η Καλλιγά πραγματοποίησε μια σειρά σχεδίων, όπου κυριαρχούσε ως θέμα το γυναικείο γυμνό. Στο συγκεκριμένο έργο η καλλιτέχνης σχεδιάζει μέρος του γυναικείου torso και στη συνέχεια με μικρές αλλά και μεγαλύτερες πινελιές «γεμίζει» τον όγκο του σώματος ενώ παράλληλα εκμεταλλεύεται τον περιβάλλοντα χώρο που αγκαλιάζει το σώμα.

In the mid-1980s, Calligas created a series of drawings that primarily focused on the female nude as the subject. In this particular artwork, the artist draws part of the female torso. She then utilises both small and larger brushstrokes to fill in and define the body's volume, while also making use of the surrounding space that envelops the body.
