Στη ζωγραφική του Philip Tsiaras επανέρχονται συχνά ορισμένα μοτίβα, όπως: το άλογο, το αεροπλάνο, το όπλο δημιουργώντας αυτόνομες ενότητες. Στη σειρά «Τοπολογίες», όπου πρωταγωνιστεί «το αεροπλάνο» ξεχωρίζει το έργο “Burning Bird”. Μια εξπρεσιονιστική έκρηξη χρωματικών όγκων που έρχεται σε ευθεία αντιστοιχία με τις μορφοπλαστικές αναζητήσεις της χειρονομιακής ζωγραφικής (action painting ) και του αφηρημένου εξπρεσιονισμού, παρόλο που το θέμα είναι αναγνωρίσιμο. Ο χώρος είναι απροσδιόριστος, παραπέμπει σε ένα φανταστικό αστρικό τοπίο, πιθανότατα στον κόσμο του διαστήματος, μαγνητίζει τον θεατή και μπορεί να ερμηνευτεί ως ανταπόκριση του καλλιτέχνη στην καταιγιστική πραγματικότητα που βιώνει.

In Philip Tsiaras' painting certain motifs often recur, such as: the horse, the plane, the gun, creating autonomous units. In the series "Topologies", where "the plane" is the protagonist, the work "Burning Bird" stands out. An expressionistic explosion of colour volumes that comes in direct correspondence with the morphoplastic pursuits of gestural painting (action painting ) and abstract expressionism, although the subject matter is recognisable. The space is indeterminate, alluding to an imaginary astral landscape, possibly in the world of space, captivates the viewer and can be interpreted as the artist's response to the stormy reality he is experiencing.
