Το έργο «Grandmother Africa» του Μιχάλη Αρφαρά αποτελεί μια κατασκευή με assemblage ετερόκλητων αντικειμένων και υλικών από σκουπίδια, το οποίο θυμίζει και παραπέμπει σε ανθρωπόμορφα είδωλα κάποιας αφρικανικής θρησκείας. Αποτελεί ένα σχόλιο πάνω στην καταγωγική έννοια του πολιτισμού και των κατασκευασμένων πολιτισμικών αξιών ταυτόχρονα με μια κριτική ματιά στα προβλήματα της σύγχρονης εποχής.

The work "Grandmother Africa" by Michalis Arfaras is a construction with an assemblage of disparate objects and materials made of garbage, which reminds and refers to anthropomorphic idols of an African religion.
