Τα έργα της Naoko Matsubara της συλλογής του MOMus-Μουσείου Σύγχρονης Τέχνης αποτελούν χαρακτηριστικό δείγμα της δουλειάς της καλλιτέχνιδας, η οποία εντρύφησε κυρίως στην ξυλογραφία. Δημιούργησε τόσο έγχρωμα, όσο και ασπρόμαυρα χαρακτικά, τα οποία λόγω της έντασης και της «σκληρότητας» του μαύρου χρώματος όσο και της αντίθεσης με το λευκό χαρτί, προκαλούν τον θεατή να τα παρατηρήσει. Μεγάλες ενότητες των έργων της αποτελούν τα δέντρα, τα τοπία, η μελέτη των χεριών καθώς επίσης η Αρκτική, το Κιότο και το Θιβέτ.
Η σειρά των δέντρων της διακρίνεται για την εστίαση στη στερεότητα του κορμού και των κλαδιών καθώς και για το ανάπτυγμα των φυλλωμάτων τους.

The works of Naoko Matsubara from the collection of the MOMus Museum of Contemporary Art are a typical example of the work of the artist, who was mainly immersed in woodblock prints. She created both color and black and white prints, which, due to the intensity and "hardness" of the black color and the contrast with the white paper, challenge the viewer to observe them. Large sections of her works include trees, landscapes, hand studies as well as the Arctic, Kyoto and Tibet.
Her series of trees are distinguished by their focus on the solidity of the trunk and branches as well as the growth of their foliage.
